Xteink has shared an update on Reddit following backlash to its new X4 Classic e-reader that uses a proprietary magnetic pogo pin charging cable. While the company isn’t planning to abandon the pogo approach any time soon, it’s also “working toward bringing USB-C back as an option in future products.”
The XPS 13 now costs $699 for a base configuration with just 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That price used to get you a configuration with 512GB of storage, but Dell’s now charging $799 for that one. It matches the pricing for Apple’s MacBook Neo, which also got a price hike earlier this year.

You’ll now have to be more careful when choosing a battery for your iPhone. BMX’s new SolidSafe Duo is one of the first that’s sized to fit Apple’s wider iPhone Duo. At $79.99 the SolidSafe Duo is expensive for a 5,000mAh battery even with wireless charging capabilities, but it uses safer semi-solid-state cell tech, and you get a big status screen.

Charging your phone wirelessly can get mighty toasty. ESR’s new CryoBoost 25W charging pad has a clever solution: a fan built right into the charging puck. The company claims the design allows it to charge an iPhone 17 Pro halfway up to 28 percent faster than the official Apple MagSafe 25W charger. Maybe I’m no fun, but once you’re plugging a cable in to run a fan while you charge your phone why not… just use wired charging?
Update: We’ve seen chargers with fans (and some with fanless cooling too) before; let us know if you’re using one with this type of design and if they live up to the sales pitch.
We called Nothing’s first pair of over-the-ear headphones “head-turning,” thanks to an aesthetic that reminds you that Bluetooth headphones are computers these days. Now, Nothing is reportedly preparing to launch a new pro model, according to Dealabs. The new headphones are rumored to include a new triple driver architecture, 10-microphone adaptive ANC, and up to 60 hours of battery life. Dealabs claims the Nothing Headphone 1 Pro will launch on September 29th, priced at $399.

The 2023 Android tablet has seemingly been discontinued. Its online Google Store page is gone, and there’s no longer even a “Tablet” section in the menu. The Pixel Tablet was most notable for the included dock, which turned it into a smart home hub, but never received a follow-up.
The Razr maker didn’t want to feel left out by Apple’s iPhone Duo, the latest in a wave of passport-shaped foldables. This clip of its flip phones and foldables, including this year’s Razr Fold, ends with a shorter, wider phone, shown briefly and only in silhouette. Motorola calls it “our next move.”

The company has never been shy about its Apple-inspired designs, though this one feels a little more Honor’s own with the large circular camera incorporated too. The Magic 9 phones launch in China on September 28th, and feature cameras designed with Arri, support for two different teleconverter lenses, and this soft green color, which I do rather like.
It’s not too surprising that most of Apple’s wristwear is now listed as unavailable on its website for shipment or pickup (but not all — we did see some Ultra models available), with a product event scheduled for tomorrow, but MacRumors points out that the value-priced version of the Apple Watch is unavailable too.
Based on the rumors, we have been anticipating updates for the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3, and maybe the SE 3 is just taking a break in solidarity. We’ll find out tomorrow.

You can play your own songs by pushing buttons, play one of 12 pre-programmed songs from the games, use it with the Ocarina of Time remake’s sound recognition feature, or connect headphones for a private jam session.
Dom says it’s quick and easy to snap a propeller backback onto the HoverAir Versa, and then… it can fly! Shame that HoverAir isn’t transparently telling backers that this camera has been banned in the US, and shame on the Trump administration for creating the dumb drone ban to begin with.
