Unlike the grip that Nintendo bundles with its latest console, Dbrand’s $19.95 Joy-Lock Controller Holder lets you adjust the angle of the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons using a ratcheting mechanism. You can also add a pair of beefier grips for an additional $19.95, and enhance the thumbsticks with a pair of stick-on textured caps for $9.95.

There’s just something impossibly charming about the storybook art style of the upcoming Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, but if you’re curious how the Switch 2 game actually plays, Nintendo just dropped a six-minute-long overview trailer. The only thing missing is Donald Glover.

Resurrecting 1974’s Wild Gunman isn’t a matter of extracting a ROM and firing up an emulator. The light gun game used two projectors and live-action footage spread across multiple film reels. Callan Brown managed to get his hands on them, scan them, and built a replica of the original cabinet.

Arriving later this year, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam in addition to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. There’s still no firm release date for this puzzle-filled title just yet, but you can check out the latest trailer below.

You can now get the retro colored buttons featured on the classic grey version of the 8BitDo 64 controller for the other models. The company’s 8BitDo 64 Classic Button Set upgrade kit is available for preorder now for $3.99 and ships on May 15th. Installation doesn’t look too difficult.

While thousands of smartphones and cameras were trained on the sky on April 1st capturing the historic launch of Artemis II, Redditor Cambot72 recorded it on a Nintendo 3DS XL. The 0.3-megapixel footage has some retro Apollo vibes, and you can download the original version to watch in 3D if you’ve still got a 3DS.

Back in November, the US Patent and Trademark Office decided to reexamine a highly controversial and confusing Nintendo patent related to summoning characters and making them fight. The patent examiner has since issued a non-final rejection of the patent, meaning that the patent isn’t yet KO’d and Nintendo can still choose to battle with new arguments.

Yesterday brought the surprise news that Fox McCloud would be in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Now we know who will voice the Star Fox character: Glen Powell. And he seems pretty excited.

After creating an HDMI upgrade kit for the Sega Genesis called the Megaswitch HD, Stanislav Parhomovich has announced a similar solution for the original Super Nintendo. By avoiding the console’s analog output hardware and connecting directly to its digital buses, the Superswitch HD mod will enable crisp 1080p output (upscaled) over HDMI.

It may be called the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, but Nintendo’s next film is giving off some Smash Bros. vibes now that we know Fox McCloud will make an appearance.

EasySMX followed up its excellent S10 controller with the cheaper S10 Lite that’s better in one very cool way and a little worse in others. So far, the only brick-built versions of Mario you can get are the electronic interactive ones, the super-sized version driving a kart, and the pixelated 2D ones. But according to a short video teaser Nintendo of America shared on X, Super Mario Lego minifigures are enroute, you’ll just have to wait until next year to get them.
