What we’ve shipped over the last few weeks:
Improvements / Fixes
- Fixed a couple of issues with how some Verge content is distributed across platforms, including newsletters and Apple News (yes, The Verge is on Apple News+).
Features
- Our writers can publish to The Verge directly from Slack. Rad for us and we think it will result in radness for you too.
- We shipped a couple of big custom-built article experiences (Notes from a Burmese Prison and The laid off lawyers and PhDs training AI to steal their careers). Incredible work from Graham MacAree.
And don’t forget to join our research group. Let’s just say we have some big updates coming your way and we’ll need your help with user testing.

What we’ve shipped over the last several weeks:
Improvements / Fixes
- Turns out that vertical text on the web can be an editorial nightmare. We removed the vertical category label hanging out to the left of content cards in your feeds.
- We also…
- Smoothed out small interactions and animations to make some components feel more natural
- Addressed some necessary SEO and structural maintenance to keep things running well
- Laid early groundwork for better ways to follow your favorite newsletters and other series
Features
- Gift articles! We’re pretty stoked about them too.
And I would be remiss not to mention that we started this Product feed, a place to share updates like these and what we’re working on. Don’t forget to join our research group.
