Disney Plus is teasing Jessica Jones’ return to the MCU in this new teaser trailer for Daredevil: Born Again’s upcoming second season, and it looks like the detective is going to be knocking heads.

Disney Plus’ latest superhero series is dropping at a time when the MCU feels like it’s moving back to square one.

Teasers for Avengers: Doomsday continue to trickle out, and surprising no one — at least, no one who watched that hours-long cast reveal — the latest confirms that the new film will prominently feature the X-Men. Watch for a blink-and-you’ll miss it shot of a very emotional Cyclops.
Personally, I don’t have superhero movie fatigue. The powers aren’t the problem; I just think we need a little more comedy and a little less fate-of-the-world drama! This one is Wonder Man, an 8-episode miniseries coming January 27th to Disney Plus. It’s meta in more ways than one.
The short MCU clip that premiered exclusively before Avatar: Fire and Ash is finally accessible. See Chris Evans’ former Captain America drive a motorcycle, wear a jacket, and hold a baby. Didn’t Steve Rogers retire?
The film will be out on December 18th, 2026, so we have a year to wonder.
Around the same time the news came down that GTA VI would be delayed from May 2026 to November, Skydance Games has announced it’s delaying superhero action game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra beyond it’s original early 2026 release window. Same with GTA VI, the delay was attributed to needing more time for polish and also like GTA VI, this is the game’s second delay.

More Trevor Slattery!
Check out the first full trailer below which prominently features Ben Kingsley. The eight-part series premieres January 27th, 2026 and appears to be about making an in-universe superhero film and clearly nods to the real world exhaustion with superhero flicks. We’ll have to wait and see if some self-aware jokes are going to be enough to keep Wonder Man from becoming another forgettable Marvel show, though.
First, Yahya Abdul-Mateen showed up at the Fantastic Four: First Steps premiere, giving in-character interviews as Simon Williams — the star of Disney Plus’ upcoming Wonder Man miniseries. And now, Marvel has dropped a Wonder Man teaser that makes it seem like the show will be about an in-universe superhero movie reboot.
Soon, Disney Plus subscribers will have access to a “curated selection of content” on a new digital comics platform that’s being developed by Disney and Webtoon. In addition to thousands of classic titles from the Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios brands, the platform will feature original Webtoon series.
While Marvel has released TV-MA projects before, the new trailer for Marvel Zombies makes it look like the series is really going to earn that rating by piling on as much (animated) blood and guts as possible.
Sony decided to go the live-action route for its upcoming Spider-Verse spinoff series starring Nic Cage’s Spider-Man Noir, but Deadline reports that the studio is in the early stages of developing an animated Spider-Punk feature co-written by Ajon Singh (Primetime) and Daniel Kaluuya, who will presumably reprise his role as Hobie Brown.

The next Spider-Man movie from Sony Pictures is currently scheduled for release a year from now, on July 31st, 2026, to kick off a new trilogy of Holland-led movies in the MCU five years after the last entry, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Now, Sony has posted the briefest teaser trailer possible for Spider-Man Day, celebrating textiles.
Disney Plus’ Eyes of Wakanda animated miniseries was slated to debut on August 6th, but the streamer has just bumped the show’s premiere up to August 1st and decided drop all four episodes at once.

The new Fantastic Four movie is a little formulaic, but it features some of Marvel’s most impressive set pieces yet.
Well, at least “this weekend,” according to a post on X. You can see the trailer before showings of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was slated to his theaters on June 4th 2027, but The Wrap reports that Sony has pushed the film’s debut back by a few weeks to June 25th.

For cinematographer Alison Kelly, the key to Ironheart’s stunning visuals was strong behind-the-scenes communication.
The new trailer for Marvel’s Eyes of Wakanda Disney Plus series doesn’t give all that much away, but it does make the show look like it’s going to be cool as hell when it premieres on August 6th.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ latest trailer features some cool new shots of the team using their powers to take on Galactus and the Silver Surfer, but its most surprising reveal is the fact that Ben Grimm can apparently grow a beard made out of his rock-like carapace.

Marvel’s latest Disney Plus series is another example of what it’s going to take to keep this franchise feeling fresh.
The latest trailer for Marvel’s Ironheart Disney Plus series is (thankfully) light on plot details, but it’s chock full of snazzy shots of Riri Williams’ latest suit, which seems like it’s going to be able to channel magical energies when the show premieres on June 24th.
She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon will be playable characters in the Marvel-themed beat-’em-up. I recently talked to Dotemu’s CEO to learn a bit about the game and the rest of Dotemu’s 2025 lineup, which looks great.
Ahead of a full trailer being released tomorrow and the series’ debut on Disney Plus on June 24th, Marvel has shared a brief look at its upcoming Ironheart series with Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams and Ryan Coogler producing. The show directly follows the events of Wakanda Forever and while more details will be revealed in the full trailer, this teaser still delivers a lot of new footage including several different suits.
While the MCU is riding high on Thunderbolts, Marvel is about to bring another recent movie to streaming: Captain America: Brave New World hits Disney Plus on May 28th.

The MCU’s new crossover tentpole is focused on trauma, bad jokes, and getting the movie franchise back on solid footing.

Though Disney Plus and Marvel haven’t officially announced when the second of Daredevil: Born Again will debut, showrunner Dario Scardapane seems fairly confident in a recent Instagram post that it’s happening next March.
While we won’t be seeing more of the animated Miles Morales for another two years, Sony and Marvel announced at this year’s CinemaCon that the wait for Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man is going to be much shorter. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31st, 2026, and both the movie’s logo and subtitle suggest some big changes are on the way.

A mysterious livestream is revealing cast members one at a time — so far including Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, and Anthony Mackie. They’ll appear in Avengers: Doomsday, set to hit theaters on May 1st 2026, with Robert Downey Jr. making his return / debut as Doctor Doom.
It’s taking Marvel 13 minutes to announce each name so far though, so we might be here a while.
Jack Kirby, the iconic comics artist who co-created Marvel’s X-Men and Avengers, and originated DC’s New Gods, is the subject of Kirbyvision, a new documentary from director Ricki Stern (Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, UFOs: Investigating the Unknown).
According to Stern, the doc is her way of pushing for Kirby to finally receive some of the recognition he deserves as the creative wellspring companies like Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are still drawing from.

Disney Plus’ new Daredevil series is an uneven reboot that’s fighting to leave its past behind.
