Did… he forget that Final Fantasy VII originally came on three discs?

FFVII Revelation director Naoki Hamaguchi has revealed to IGN his “only choice” was to ship the new game on a single disc that forces you to download the rest of the game, because the team “didn’t want to make any compromises” in fidelity.

But the original game shipped on three discs. FF8 shipped on four! So did FF9.
