For the Scavengers Reign fans out there.

Jonathan Djob Nkondo, an artist who helped shape the sci-fi show’s distinctly alien look, launched a Kickstarter for a pair of graphic novels that look very similar in tone. The campaign already surpassed its goal, and the books are expected to start shipping later this year. (Fun fact: he also contributed to the beautiful new Gorillaz short film.)

Hey 3D artists, do any of you actually want a laptop like this?

One of Lenovo’s MWC 2026 concepts is the Yoga Book Pro 3D, a chonky dual-screen laptop with glasses-free 3D. You can see models in 3D, control them via hand tracking, and drop custom tools on the lower screen with specialized cutouts.

Check out our hands-on video. Is this concept cool, weird, or something else?

Swiss sportswear brand On has opened a new factory in South Korea expanding the manufacturing capacity for the company’s LightSpray sneakers partly made by robots spraying fibers. ChatGPT got a brand new Canva tool.

ChatGPT users who create designs via the Canva app can now connect to their Canva Brand Kits, allowing designs to draw from on-brand colors and assets. Anthropic’s good week continues, however — Claude got the same Canva Brand Kit feature first.

Casio’s adjustable G-Shock ring watch launches in the US next week.

If you skipped Casio’s original ring watch because it relied on spacers to improve its fit, the new DWN-5600 can be resized from 48mm to 82mm using an adjustable strap like a full size G-Shock. It launched in Japan last month, but will be available in the US starting on December 3rd for $110.00.

The DWN-5600 will be available in three colors: black, yellow, and red.
The functionality is limited, but in addition to the time and date the DWN-5600 manages to squeeze in a stopwatch and an alarm that flashes a light behind the screen.

You can already buy cheap copies of Apple’s $230 crossbody iPhone sock.

Both versions of the 3D-knitted iPhone Pocket quickly sold out earlier this month. Apple hasn’t announced any plans to restock the limited edition accessory created in collaboration with Japanese designer Issey Miyake, but there already plenty of reproductions on sites like AliExpress selling for much less than the real thing.

Solid Glass.

Never mind Liquid Glass, the new Apple TV intro was made using the real stuff, filmed by shining colorful lighting behind a glass model of the logo. With big companies like Coca-Cola and Google putting out entirely AI-generated marketing, it’s nice to see some things being made the old-fashioned way.

We all know what’s coming.

The same day we had Cory Doctorow on Decoder to talk enshittification, the tech industry delivered a real-life example. New Affinity owner Canva is launching an all-in-one editing app, and best of all, it’s free! Why do we get a bad feeling about this?

Ikea’s new Bluetooth speaker lamp launches in the US.

The Blomprakt Bluetooth speaker lamp was first announced last July as part of a new lineup following the end of Sonos and Ikea’s partnership earlier this year. It’s priced at $59.99 in the US making it much cheaper than Ikea’s $179 Sonos-compatible Symfonisk lamp speaker, but the Blomprakt lacks Wi-Fi and streaming support.

The Blomprakt Bluetooth speaker lamp is available in black, light blue, and beige color options.
The speaker supports Spotify Tap and has a button and dial for controlling volume and adjusting the lamp’s brightness.
The lamp’s cord can be positioned on either side of the speaker depending on where you want the light and sound directed.

Ikea made a tiny bed for your smartphone.

If a dedicated plate for meatballs wasn’t weird enough, Ikea created tiny beds with NFC functionality that reward you with in-store vouchers if you keep your smartphone tucked in for seven hours every night for an entire week. But the beds are only available from Ikea UAE stores when you spend over ~$200.

Casio’s functional ring watch gets a golden finish.

After first debuting last year, Casio has introduced a new version of its ring watch made from stainless steel with gold ion plating. It’s currently only available in Japan for 22,000 yen, or around $150, and you’ll have to enter a lottery that’s open until October 6th for the chance to buy one.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Despite its size, the ring watch still features time and date functionality, a calendar, and a stopwatch.
The watch also includes a screen light that flashes instead of an audible alarm.
The watch isn’t adjustable, but includes spacers to improve its fit for smaller fingers.
