Honor’s Watch Magic smartwatch debuts in Europe for €179

Honor is launching its first smartwatch in Europe, to coincide with the launch of its hole-punch flagship phone, the Honor View 20.

It’s not entirely a new watch: the Honor Watch Magic and Honor Watch Dream — seemingly the same watch, but the Dream features smaller band sizes and pastel colors — were released in Honor’s home country of China last year in October.

Both sizes appear to sport 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreens with 390 x 390 resolution (326 ppi), as well as GPS tracking, nine different fitness monitoring modes, water resistance up to 50 meters, phone notification alerts, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and blood pressure monitoring using what Honor calls HRV (heart rate variability).

To top it all off, Honor claims their smartwatch can last a week on a full charge, with 24-hour heart rate monitoring turned on. The company is going so far to say that their smartwatch will last “one full day of use with a mere 10-minute charge.” Those are definitely features to put to the test; they would be impressive if true.

The Honor Watch Magic comes in black, blue, or silver while the Honor Dream (sporting the same specs, but a smaller band) comes in coral pink and white apricot. Honor’s smartwatch will retail for €179 (~£155 or $200), starting January 23rd in France, the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with Russia and other countries to follow.
