is the editor of the Platformer newsletter and cohost of the Hard Fork podcast.

For more than six years now, readers of The Verge have browsed these pages asking a single question: why isn’t this a game show? Millions of readers come to us daily to read about the trends shaping their world, bolstered by in-depth interviews with some of the world’s most fascinating personalities. Yet there has never been a person on the other side of that interview awarding points to those people based on their answers — until now.

Today, I’m excited to share with you the trailer for Converge, an interview game show hosted by me, Casey Newton. As The Verge’s Silicon Valley editor, I spend my days talking to some of the world’s most interesting people. I’ve always wanted to bring more of those conversations to you — letting you hear entrepreneurs and big company executives answer our questions in their own words. And I wanted to do it in a way that was fun, thoughtful, and revealing.

Now’s our chance. On Wednesday, May 23rd, The Verge will bring you the first episode of Converge — a game that’s easy to win, but not impossible to lose. It’s a tech podcast unlike any you’ve heard before — and you can get the first taste today in the trailer below:
