That's right, friends — The Verge is hiring news writers for its west coast editorial team. We're looking for fast, experienced, and ambitious technology enthusiasts to help bring the latest, most interesting news to our ever-growing global audience of users.
So, what will get you in the proverbial door? Well, aside from a love of technological wizardry and GIFs, we're looking for the following qualifications:
- Based on the west coast, ideally San Francisco or Seattle
- Available from Monday to Friday during the west coast news shift (12:30PM to 9:30PM Pacific time)
- Excellent written English
- Previous experience covering writing about technology and / or technology culture
- Experience with Windows, OS X, Android, and iOS
- Basic photography skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Self-motivated
- Love of technology
- Foreign language skills are a bonus
