If you’re open to suggestions on what to check out during the sale, I’d like to call particular attention to Darn Tough socks while they’re 25 percent off. These are some of my favorite socks for cycling and working out, thanks to their supportive fit and variety of color options. Notably, they feature a lifetime warranty for both normal wear and inadvertent damage. You can ship them back to Darn Tough, or bring them to a partnered retailer, for a credit or replacement. That said, these socks live up to their name, and they rarely develop holes through normal use.

Zippo HeatBank 6 Pro Rechargeable Hand Warmer

Zippo’s rechargeable, IP57-rated hand warmer offers three heat settings and up to six hours of runtime. It can also serve as a 24-lumen flashlight or a 5,200 mAh power bank in a pinch, though, unlike most warmers, it’s only sold as a single unit.

Half Dome 2 Tent (with footprint)

REI’s inexpensive, three-season tent is easy to set up and offers plenty of space for two people, with built-in pockets for stowing gear and large roll-up doors. It’s certainly not the lightest offering you can buy, but at this price, it’s an easy recommendation for first-time backpackers and anyone looking for a solid tent for car camping.

Kelty Low Loveseat

The Kelty Low Loveseat is a sturdy, low-profile camp chair built for two. It features a steel frame, a padded seat, and extra-large cup holders for your drinks or gear. It also includes a padded roll-tote storage bag, making it easy to transport when it’s folded down.

If you missed the release promotions for the recent round of Samsung Galaxy phones, you’re in luck. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is $300 off at Best Buy, the best deal we’ve seen since the phone launched last month. The phone impressed us with its rear triple camera setup, excellent battery life, and slim, refined design, but the price held it back from true greatness. That’s helped by the discount, which brings the price down to $1,799.99 for the 256GB model.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra received a number of improvements over the previous generation’s Z Fold 7, including brighter interior and exterior screens, sharper cameras, and faster charging. The improved hinge design should be more durable, although it didn’t quite hold up to JerryRigEverything’s rigorous testing, and the IP48 water and dust resistance is lower than other folding phones like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The larger battery, up to 5,000mAh from the Z Fold 7’s 4,400mAh, helps the device last a full day on a single charge.

• The Remarkable Paper Pro Move note-taking tablet is on sale for $469 at Best Buy, $100 off its usual price. This 7.3-inch tablet can run for up to two weeks on a single charge, with a multi-color screen for highlighting important text, calling attention to specific notes, or just making your doodles more engaging.
• Amazon and Insta360 have the Insta360 X5 discounted to $464.99, an $85 discount from the typical price. The X5 captures video at 120fps in 4K, and surprised us with its excellent image quality, particularly in low light. There are still some improvements to be made, particularly around software and weight, but the discount makes it a great choice for a first 360-degree camera. Read our review.
• If you’re like me and missed The Mandalorian and Grogu movie in theaters, the 4K Blu-Ray is $24.77 at Amazon, about five dollars lower than its usual price. While my colleague Charles Pulliam-Moore felt the story might have been better told as another season of the show, as an avid Star Wars fan, I would still like to see the baby. Read our review.

Amazon and Best Buy have the TCL QM7L mini-LED TV on sale for as low as $797.99 for the 55-inch model, a $200 discount from the usual price. We spotted scaling discounts on larger sizes as well, although Amazon already listed low stock on the 65-inch version. While OLED televisions are great for deep black levels and great contrast, their high price point may be off-putting to some buyers. Mini-LED TVs like this TCL are a more wallet-friendly option, and have high brightness while also supporting features like Quantum Dots for vivid colors.

The QM7L also includes the features you’d expect from a premium television. The 144Hz refresh rate is supported by Variable Refresh Rate to reduce tearing and input lag while gaming, with HDR and Dolby Vision support for great image quality and contrast. The screens have Google TV onboard, with support for AirPlay 2 in case you want to stream from an Apple device.

• Star Trek fans can pick up the Picard Legacy Collection on Blu-Ray for $137.49 from Amazon, a thirty percent discount from the normal price. This 54-disc set covers the entirety of Patrick Stewart’s legendary role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, including all seven seasons of The Next Generation, the four movies that accompanied the series, and all three seasons of Picard.
• The 5,000mAh Anker MagGo power bank is on sale for $29.99 (usually $49.95) at Amazon. This MagSafe-compatible battery pack charges devices for up to 15W wireless charging, or 20W through the USB-C port.
• Woot has the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro on sale for $64.99, a 64 percent discount from its usual price of $179.99, and you can save an extra 25 percent by using code WOOTDOCK at checkout. This dock has a healthy selection of ports, including five USB-A, two Thunderbolt 3, and DisplayPort 1.4, giving laptops with limited connectivity access to plenty of peripherals and an extra screen.

If you’ve been on the fence about Google’s latest Pixel phones, this might be your best chance to save some cash. Amazon is offering an extra $150 off the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL when you use the coupon code PIXEL11 at checkout. While the discounted price appeared at checkout for most phone and watch combinations, it didn’t apply to the Pixel Pro Fold.

That deal stacks with the introductory offer running at several retailers, where you can choose between a gift card that scales with the model of phone you’re buying, or additional credit towards a Pixel Watch 5. For example, the base model Pixel 11 would normally cost $899, but the introductory bundle, which ends on August 27th, includes a $100 gift card, and with the code, you’ll pay just $749. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL bundles include either a $200 gift card, or $250 towards the cost of a Pixel Watch 5.

The Pixel 11 phones added a variety of new features to Google’s first-party Android phones, most notably around the cameras. In addition to improved sensors across the lineup, the new Magic Capture feature automatically pulls photos and clips out of a video recording, letting you focus on what’s in front of you.

• Doom: The Dark Ages is on sale for $19.87 at Green Man Gaming, the lowest price yet for the Steam version of the game. The 2025 title adds a medieval twist to the classic Doom formula, with a more engaging story, and of course an awesome suite of weapons, including a shield that gives you more options while charging into battle. • Best Buy is selling the Scuf Valor Pro for $113.99, a significant discount from its usual price of $189.99. This wireless controller is compatible with PC, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox One, and features TMR joysticks to prevent stick drift over time. It has a 1,000 Hz polling rate when connected to a computer for super sharp response times, and programmable paddles on the back.

• The Cuktech 25,000mAh 100W USB-C power bank is only $62.99 at Amazon for a limited time, 10 percent lower than the usual price. It can charge up to three devices at once, with an integrated USB-C cable, as well as USB-C and USB-A ports, with up to 100W of charging power.

Bose may be best known for its QuietComfort headphones, but the brand’s Bluetooth speakers have earned a great reputation for featuring great sound and build quality. The compact Bose SoundLink Micro — its most compact Bluetooth speaker — is currently discounted to $79.99 at Amazon, a pretty great discount from its usual $129 price tag.

The rounded-off square speaker is almost pocketable, and easily slides into a purse or backpack; it’s just over four inches wide, 1.54 inches deep, and weighs less than a pound. It’s dustproof and waterproof, with an IP67 rating that matches the larger Bose Bluetooth speakers, and should last a full day at the beach or by the pool. The speaker will run for up to 12 hours on a single charge, and has convenient nylon strap for attaching it to your backpack or to your bike’s handlebars.

Other deals to consider

• Best Buy has the 5TB Seagate Game Drive discounted to $169.99 (usually $219.99) until the end of the day. While it might seem odd to buy a non-SSD external drive in 2026, the price here is better than we’ve seen recently for this capacity. This model is compatible with computers as well as Xbox consoles, although only games predating the Xbox Series S/X era will be able to be played directly from the drive. Newer games will need to first be copied over to your console’s speedy SSD.
• Woot is selling a variety of refurbished Apple Watch Series 9 units for as low as $189.99, depending on the configuration you choose. While they’re a couple of generations old, it’s rare to see recent models that low, and this is one of the older Apple Watches that will support watchOS 27. Woot is covering the devices with a one year warranty in case there are any issues down the road. Read our review.
• Until the end of the day, you can grab an Ultraloq Bolt door lock for $74.99 from Amazon (usually $109.99). This Wi-Fi smart lock features both numerical and fingerprint sensors, giving you a few options for quickly unlocking your door. You can check the status and lock or unlock the door from your phone, and it integrates with other smart home platforms like Alexa, Apple Home, and Google Home.
